About the Author: Nitin Sekar is an elephant ecologist and conservationist. He has received a doctorate in ecology and a certificate in environmental policy from Princeton University. He has published peer-reviewed research on a range of topics related to conservation, including the functional ecology of elephants, the economics of ecotourism and poaching, and the rights of communities living in protected areas. His most recent work is What’s Left of the Jungle, a general-interest narrative non-fiction book that examines what it is like for villagers living with human-elephant conflict. Nitin currently serves as the national lead for WWF India’s elephant conservation work.
