A Window to the Wild

A Window into the Wild

Curated Wildlife Art

WWF-India is proud to partner with artist Ajay Singh Peelwa to bring you an exclusive collection of wildlife paintings. Each artwork invites you to linger a little and immerse yourself in the world of a charismatic animal or bird. The perfect window to nature in your home or office space. Peelwa’s paintings evoke the spirit of India’s pristine wilderness through luminous colour, rich texture and expressive brushstrokes. But their significance extends beyond the frame.

WWF-India has been working relentlessly for over five decades to safeguard India’s natural heritage. When you buy any of these paintings, an equal share of the proceeds go towards WWF-India’s conservation work and to the artist – in an endeavour to promote Art in Conservation. Your choice to purchase a majestic portrait of the wild in its element is a statement of what you stand for, in more ways than one.

Ajay Singh Peelwa’s art reminds us of the bewildering beauty of our natural world and our responsibility towards preserving it for the future.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ajay Singh Peelwa

Ajay Singh Peelwa hails from a family of Rajput jagirdars of Peelwa, Jodhpur district, Rajasthan. His childhood was shaped by captivating tales of tigers and other wild animals shared by the elders in his family. They sparked a lifelong fascination with the natural world and a desire to capture it in ways that do more good than harm.

After spending countless hours observing animals in their natural habitats and studying their behaviours, Peelwa mirrored their untamed spirit on the canvas. His paintings capture wildlife in its most evocative moods and moments. His artistic expression spans a diverse range of styles, including realism, miniature, semi-abstract, abstract, serigraphy, etching and linoleum printmaking. He brings it to life through an equally versatile palette of mediums, from oil, watercolour and acrylic to charcoal, ink, natural stone pigments and cellulosic paint.
