The Asiatic lioness is a warm mother and fierce hunter, providing for her cubs in the last stronghold of Asiatic lions in Gujarat. Like most young female lionesses, they mate with members of their primary coalition, the group of males that most frequently patrolled their pride’s territory at the Gir National Park.
By mating with males from every coalition that entered the territory, the lioness protects her cubs from infanticide by deliberately obscuring their father’s identity.
These individually serial numbered limited-edition coins come in bespoke display packaging and remain ideal for gifting.
